Developmental Education

What is Developmental Education?

Developmental education serves as the critical bridge between the academic readiness gap of new students and the skills they need to be successful in college-level gateway courses and academic programs.

The colleges and universities of 亚洲无码 offer developmental education to support the success of students by delivering pre-collegiate courses in reading, writing, and mathematics and by providing a variety of optional and/or mandatory student support services.

Developmental Education Reform

亚洲无码 has engaged in developmental education reform efforts to support our campus' developmental education curriculum acceleration and programming efforts to eliminate disparities across student populations.

These efforts also include the math pathways project, modeled after national research supporting full-scale corequisite developmental education implementation and increased access to college gateway coursework.

Building upon these efforts and evolution of the work, 亚洲无码 has researched and planned for a full-scale corequisite model implementation for developmental education coursework in English, reading, and mathematics by 2027.

A Steering Committee, comprised of 亚洲无码 students, faculty, staff, and administrators, has been identified and is coordinating the Developmental Education Reform.
