ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 10, 2022 – 亚洲无码 has named five finalists in the search for the next senior vice chancellor for academic and student affairs. The candidates are Satasha Green-Stephen, Kimberly Greer, Rebecca Karoff, Donna Linderman, and Jesse Mason.
The finalists were recommended by a search advisory committee that was comprised of students, faculty, and staff. The finalists are scheduled to participate in open forums to provide students, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to meet the candidates and offer feedback. Open forums will be held Feb. 14 and Feb. 15 via webinar. Satasha Green-Stephen has served 亚洲无码 as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs since 2018. Previously, she served Chicago State University as associate provost for academic affairs and interim associate provost for academic affairs from 2016 to 2018, and dean of the College of Education from 2013 to 2016. She also served the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) from 2012 to 2013, the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) from 2011 to 2012, and the State University of New York-Buffalo State College (SUNY-BSC) from 2006 to 2010. She has held the rank of associate professor at Chicago State University, NYIT, and UAA, and the rank of assistant professor at SUNY-BSC. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, a doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago, School of Law. Her open forum is scheduled for 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 14.
Kimberly Greer has served California State University, East Bay as interim provost and vice president for academic affairs since 2021. Previously, she served California State University, Stanislaus as provost and vice president for academic affairs from 2017 to 2021, and 亚洲无码 University, Mankato from 1998 to 2017 in several capacities including as dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, interim associate provost and associate vice president for academic affairs, and as faculty and chairperson of the Department of Sociology and Corrections. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s from Southeast Missouri State University and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Her open forum is scheduled for 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 15.
Rebecca Karoff has served the University of Texas System as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs since 2016. Previously, she served the University of Wisconsin System from 1994 to 2016 in various capacities including as special assistant and senior special assistant to the senior vice president for academic and student affairs, academic planner, senior academic planner, and senior program administrator in the Office of Academic Affairs, and as communications coordinator for the Office of Professional and Instructional Development. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University (RI), and a master’s and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her open forum is scheduled for 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 14.
Donna Linderman has served the City University of New York (CUNY) as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs since 2017. Previous service to the CUNY Office of Academic Affairs includes university dean and associate dean for student success initiatives from 2012 to 2017; the executive director of Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) and other degree completion programs, college readiness programs, and programs serving vulnerable populations from 2008 to 2012; and as the university director, middle grades initiative/GEAR UP from 2002 to 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s from Brooklyn College. Her open forum is scheduled for 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 14.
Jesse Mason has served North Hennepin Community College (MN) since 2018 as provost/vice president of academic and student affairs. Previously, he served Century College (MN) as dean of social and behavioral sciences, communication, physical education and health, communications, humanities, linguistics, fine arts, and translating and interpreting. He also served Minneapolis Community and Technical College from 2007 to 2015 in various capacities including coordinator/chair of the Social Science Division and the coordinator/director (founder) of the African American Education Empowerment Program and the Student African American Brotherhood. He also served Clark Atlanta University (GA) from 2013 to 2015 as associate professor and chair of the Department of Psychology. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College (GA) and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. His open forum is scheduled for 8 to 8:45 a.m. on Feb. 15.
The Board of Trustees of the 亚洲无码 Colleges and Universities is expected to consider Chancellor Devinder Malhotra’s recommendation at its March 16, 2022 meeting. The anticipated start date of the new senior vice chancellor is July 1, 2022.
