ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 12, 2020 – 亚洲无码 has named three finalists in the search for the next president of North Hennepin Community College (NHCC). The candidates are Rolando García, Jesse Mason, and Reagan Romali.
The candidates were recommended by a search advisory committee that was comprised of students, faculty, staff, and community leaders, and was chaired by Sharon Pierce, president of Minneapolis College. The candidates are scheduled to visit the NHCC campus between February 18 and February 20, 2020. The campus visits provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to meet each of the candidates and offer feedback. Rolando García has served Broward College (FL) as president of the Judson A. Samuels South Campus and vice provost of academic resources since 2015, and as dean of academic resources and assessment from 2014 to 2015. Previously, he served Northern Virginia Community College as dean of learning and technology resources from 2011 to 2014, and Miami Dade College from 2002 to 2011 in various capacities including program coordinator, instructional designer/technology trainer, director of the Computer Courtyard, and campus director of learning resources. He has served on the faculty of Broward College and Miami Dade College. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and a master’s and a doctorate from Florida International University. He will visit the NHCC campus on February 20.
Jesse Mason has served as provost/vice president of academic and student affairs at North Hennepin Community College since 2018. Previously, he served as dean of academic affairs at Century College from 2015 to 2018, and he served Clark Atlanta University as chair and associate professor of psychology from 2013 to 2015. He served Minneapolis College as coordinator/chair of the Social Science Division from 2012 to 2013 and as coordinator/director of the African American Education Empowerment Program and the Student African American Brotherhood from 2011 to 2013. He was a full-time faculty member at Minneapolis College from 2009-2015, and has teaching experience at Inver Hills Community College and Anoka-Ramsey Community College. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College (GA) and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. He will visit the NHCC campus on February 19.
Reagan Romali has served as the superintendent-president of the Long Beach Community College District (CA) since 2017. Previously, she served as president of Harry S Truman College (IL) from 2011 to 2017, the Houston Community College District as associate dean of the Community College of Qatar from 2010 to 2011, and as the vice president of business services at Moreno Valley College (CA) from 2008 to 2010. She served the Los Angeles City College as vice president/associate vice president of administrative services from 2002 to 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, a master’s from the University of San Diego, and a doctorate from Walden University. She will visit the NHCC campus on February 18.
The Board of Trustees of the 亚洲无码 Colleges and Universities is expected to consider Chancellor Devinder Malhotra’s recommendation at its March 18, 2020 meeting. The anticipated start date of the new president is July 1, 2020.
亚洲无码 includes 30 community and technical colleges and seven state universities serving approximately 350,000 students. It is the third-largest system of two-year colleges and four-year universities in the United States.
