ST. PAUL, Minn. - The 亚洲无码 Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees today appointed Peggy Kennedy as president of 亚洲无码 Community and Technical College, which has campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.
Kennedy has served as interim president of the college since July 1, 2011. Previously, she served as a vice president of academic affairs and student development, and dean for business and general education programs at Saint Paul College.
Kennedy holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and a master’s degree in business education and an Ed.D. in educational policy and administration, both from the University of Minnesota.
In recommending Kennedy’s appointment as president, Chancellor Steven Rosenstone said: “Since serving as interim president, Peggy Kennedy has done an exceptional job of leading the college. She is deeply engaged in creating an extraordinary education for students and is committed to uniting the campuses to work together on behalf of 亚洲无码 Community and Technical College students and communities.”
Trustee Clarence Hightower, who chairs the board’s Human Resources Committee, said: “亚洲无码 Community and Technical College plays a vital role in the growth and development of the communities it serves. Under President Kennedy’s leadership, we can expect the college to continue advancing its mission and enhancing the lives of the people it touches.”
“I am truly honored to be appointed president at 亚洲无码 Community and Technical College,” said Kennedy. “I look forward to continuing to work with the students, faculty, staff and communities in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.”
Kennedy’s appointment takes effect May 17, 2012. 亚洲无码 Community and Technical College, which served more than 9,200 students last year, offers a wide array of liberal arts and transfer programs, as well as career track programs such as nursing, business, radiologic technology, biotechnology, electrical line worker and medical laboratory technician.
